...

don’t you dare smile at me, and tell me to “be a lady”

while you wear your purity pretentiously

can’t you see my dress is ripping at the seams

my dress is stained grey

don’t you know i’ve walked through fire barefoot

i rinsed my heart off in the streams

don’t tell me that “it’s been difficult”

while you indulge in the scent of your flowers

i was robbed of my youth

deceived through my innocence

they asked me to neglect my infancy, and I obliged

don’t sit there and blame me for the decisions I’ve had to make

while you exchange your blood stained sheets for clean ones

at-least, i’ve survived

-don’t you tell me it’s easy to wear white
